SheetVelocity

Terms of Use

End User License Agreement ยท Last updated: September 24, 2026

These terms are an agreement between you and SheetVelocity ("we," "us," "our"). They cover your use of the SheetVelocity add-in for Microsoft Excel ("the add-in"). By installing or using the add-in, you agree to them. If you don't agree, don't use it.

1. License

We give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use the add-in for your own personal or internal business purposes. You can use it on any number of your own devices and workbooks.

2. Restrictions

You may not:

3. Your data

You keep all rights to the data you load into the add-in. It is processed and stored locally on your device, as described in our Privacy Policy. We don't receive it and claim no rights to it. You're responsible for having the right to use the data you load, and for keeping your own backups. The add-in's local storage is not a backup and can be cleared by your browser or operating system.

4. Fees

The add-in is free during its preview. We may introduce paid tiers with additional features later. We'll never charge you without your explicit agreement to separate purchase terms, and features you already have free during the preview won't be removed from preview users because paid tiers exist.

5. Preview and updates

The add-in is in preview. Features may change, and it may contain errors. Updates are delivered automatically because the add-in loads from the web each time it opens.

6. Third-party software and services

The add-in includes open-source components under their own licenses, including sql.js (MIT) and Papa Parse (MIT). Your use of Microsoft Excel and Microsoft 365 is governed by your agreements with Microsoft. Microsoft isn't a party to these terms and isn't responsible for the add-in. If you connect third-party services to the add-in (such as an AI assistant, once that feature is available), those services' own terms apply.

7. Disclaimer of warranties

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the add-in is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory. This includes warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, and accuracy. We don't warrant that the add-in will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that query results will be correct. Check important results before relying on them.

8. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we won't be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages. This includes loss of data, profits, revenue, or business, arising from or related to your use of the add-in, even if we were told such damages were possible. Our total liability for any claim relating to the add-in is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us for it in the 12 months before the claim, or US $10. Some jurisdictions don't allow certain of these limitations, so some may not apply to you.

9. Termination

You can stop using the add-in at any time by removing it from Excel. We may end this license if you break these terms. Sections 3 and 6โ€“10 survive termination.

10. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. We'll change the date above when we do, and material changes will be posted here before they take effect. If you keep using the add-in after a change takes effect, you accept the updated terms.
